Default Installation of V1 and Blendmount on a 2009 Honda Odyssey

First of, I would like to thank Mike and Blendmount for the excellent customer service and support that they have provided. They are very friendly and professional, in addition to their prompt email replies. They conduct their business the way everyone should do. Again props to MGT!

Ok I received my Blendmount in one business day. Packaging to include the materials used are great. Unlike others, they do not charge an arm and a leg. The end product is very well designed well thought of. Quality workmanship and finish is top notch, that’s all I can say. You will receive everything that you need to have a clean Installation. Prior to my purchase, I have a couple of friends who purchased others (homemade imitations) from Fleabay but it looked like something made in someone’s garage. It was new but there were already visible scratches. Plus, it looked like an eyesore due to its poor and cheap design. So for you guys who are trying to save a couple of bucks, Blendmount is well worth the money especially here in California since it is illegal to stick anything on the windshield. If you can afford to have a $400 radar detector, why not purchase a $50 Blendmount to mount it with style? =)

I was able to install my Blendmount in around ten minutes, but I was taking my time. It looks easier than you think. My ten year old daughter can probably do it. I like the look much better rather than mounting the RD on the windshield or visor. To me, it looks sleek and like it was factory installed =)

The design uses the stock lock and release of the Valentine. I plan to snap the RD right off whenever I leave the car which takes seconds. Plus it is the perfect height for visibility and accessibility for me. I do not have to reach further down the windshield anymore. At first, I purchased the Valentine concealed display so I do not have to reach far to mute it, but now I might just return the CD. I can see the display of the valentine in the corner of my eye while driving as well.
For now, I would like to share some pictures of my installation. I will post a dyi to include pictures of my hardwire installation soon as well.

Below are pictures for your reference on a 2009 Honda Odyssey. I’m sure that this will be similar to all other Honda’s and Acura’s with the exception of the Honda Element.

Thank you for looking.

So I finally installed my mute button to complete my Valentine One installation. No more mods for me now.

I installed it so I can easily press the mute driving while driving. As you can see, it is close to my knee while driving. This way I don't have to reach up or go through the steering wheel to mute or change the mode on the V1:
