Post Installation on a 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat

We'll it arrived quickly in only 2 days and packaged great! My first impression was that it was made of very high quality materials and construction. I was also very impressed that it came with all the tools required for the installation AND came with extra hex screws, hex keys, zip ties touch strips and RD pads. Very nice touch.

Installation was pretty simple but i have a F-150 with a large compass module under the mirror/stem and it doesn't leave alot of room to work with,i also had to install the spacer provided so that made it more challenging (than most who are without a compass module) but still very doable. I had to mount it all the way forward on the stem because the compass module wouldnt allow it to slide up any higher and i also wouldnt be able to get my finger in between the mount and the compass to release the RD if i did. But it didnt matter because it sits in a perfect possition for useing the front buttons and the release button in the middle just where it is. The new swivel design is really nice also, i didnt need it to possition my RD (im sure alot of buyers will) but i did loosen it to do some tweaking when i was mouting it, made the job alot easier than a fixed one.

Right now im temporarily useing the coil cord but im planning a Smart Cord custom hardwire install.

Overall im VERY pleased with this mount and it looks even better than i expected. I'd definitely recommend this item to anyone who wants a high quality, very sturdy and firm mount for your RD. I could never imagine going back to suction cups again.......

Thank you Frank and Mike for making a great item.
