If you plan on buying a ScangaugeII then you might want to get a BlendMount to go along with it.
I set out to find a obd 2 reader and I came across a ScangaugeII and thought this is pretty cool. Since I was also making some modifications to my truck to get better gas mileage. The ScangaugeII seemed like a good way of seeing the before and after changes to my mileage and horse power plus other live gauges information. So I decided to go for the ScangaugeII but was wondering where I was going to mount this thing without blocking the stock gauges on the dash like most of the videos I have seen on Youtube. Or velcroing it to the dash some place and having the obd 2 cord hanging in the way. Then I found Blendmount's custom made mounts for the SG II and V1 and thought that's what I am looking for. Professional installation look with no cords hanging in the way. I purchased the ScangaugeII combo (SGII & SGII mount) and the mount for the VI. Since I have a V1 that I wasn't using because of the need to use up the cigarette lighter plug and a cord that is a dead give away for anybody looking to snatch up a radar detector from my windshield. Blendmount was quick to respond to any of my questions I had before I made my purchase. The package showed up the next day after I ordered them, ''WOW'' that's fast. At first I thought that the price was a little high for these mounts. But once I had received them and check them out. I could see that they are worth it. The mounts are of good quality and comes with the extra parts needed for different configurations. Mounting just the SGII or V1 mount alone is really easy. Mounting the two mounts for the SGII and the V1 was a little bit tricky, but was well worth it. Review : Blend mount is the best option for a professional look and quality mount. Pros : They are solid mounts. Bleand well with the vehicle. Professional look. Cons: none really, just some time to install.
