Default How I mounted my ScanGauge II in my 2008 Honda Fit.

I received my BlendMount just before taking a 38MPG trip to the outer banks of North Carolina.

Thanks for the very fast shipping, guys!

OBX experienced a nor'easter while we were there, so no tan on my fat belly.

Sorry, I did not document EVERY step, but you can see from the pictures how its done!

The mirror mount trim cover snapped back into place...barely.

Using all the washers helped to achieve this mounting method. I also used both fillers to get a tight grip in the mirror arm post.

Slide the trim piece towards the windshield to remove it. There are three philips head screws that hold the mirror to the roof of the Fit. Remove the mirror, mount the BlendMount bracket and reattach mirror.

Very attractively mounted and easily viewable while driving.

I put a slight bend in the mounting bracket to achieve the angle I desired. (Bend is at the screw.)

I don't want to get reprimanded by Honda engineers, so I won't show how I routed the ScanGauge wire via the side airbag pillar and behind the airbag.

I did it in such a manner as to avoid interference, though!

I removed the driver's visor to route the wire under the roof liner and down along the side pillar.

The ScanGauge wire takes a hidden route along this trim strip, as does my TomTom's wires.
(Yes, that's an after-market cruise control stem in the above picture : )

Thanks for looking!
